Pat Glibert appointed Honorary Doctor at Linneaus University

Professor Patricia Glibert, University of Maryland, is appointed to Honorary Doctor at Linnaeus University

The Faculty Board of Science and Engineering has appointed Patricia M Glibert, professor of Environmental Science, University of Maryland, Honorary Doctor of Philosophy at Linnaeus University. Part of the motivation reads:
”Glibert is internationally renowned in the field of marine ecological research, particularly regarding the harmful effects of algal bloom. She has helped to bring together researchers from differentbackgrounds to enhance knowledge in this field and stimulated the majority of collaborative projects in aquatic ecology. Through a long-term collaboration with researchers at Linnaeus University, she has contributed to giving Kalmar's Marine Ecology programme international distinction.”


The Honorary doctors will be formally appointed at Linnaeus University's academic ceremony which takes place May 20
