ISSHA Auction

ISSHA auctions during past International Conferences on Harmful Algae have been a tremendous success and are becoming a tradition!! It is an opportunity for the conference participants to bid on donated items. The range of items is broad and may include books, signed reprints, photos, jewellery, T-shirts, paintings, algae-related items, liquor, and scientific equipment. The auction items are donated by ISSHA members from around the world and are used to benefit ISSHA members. Funds collected during the auction are an important income for ISSHA and may represent up to 25% of the total income of the Society. These funds have allowed for ISSHA to offer partial travel support to many students to attend previous ICHA conferences.

Call for donations for the 2010 ISSHA Auction

Barrie Dale has so far been serving as the auctioneer and provocateur, ensuring the evening has been exciting, fun filled and a bit over the top! Please help us make the 14th Conference auction a success.

We need donations for the auction and only your imagination limits what can be donated. Please contact the responsible person for the auction, Anke Kremp (anke.kremp@ymparisto.fi ) about your donations for the auction and the way you are going to transport it. Please, write “ISSHA Auction 2010” in the message subject. You may also include a picture of your item if you wish. A list of donated items will be shown in this section before the meeting in Crete.

We look forward to hearing from you!

ISSHA Membership

2010-08-10

A handful members (both former and new) have experienced problems to proceed to payment after registering, since they have not received the e-mail with the link to PayPal. This is not due to failure in our system, but is either caused by Spam-filters and firewalls at some institutions or by the fact that the member has changed her/his e-mail address since joining ISSHA. If you do not receive the confirmation within 24 hrs, do not try to log in again, instead send an e-mail to Karin Rengefors (Secretary) or Nina Lundholm (Treasurer) and we will assist you.
